From Monday, November 12, through Friday, November 23, the Mira Mesa Lions Club will be raising funds for Hurricane Michael Recovery. On October 10, Hurricane Michael came ashore in Mexico Beach, Florida, near Tyndall Air Force Base. The cities of Mexico Beach, Port St. Joe, Panama City, and Tyndall Air Force Base suffered catastrophic damage with many residents left homeless.

The Mira Mesa Lions Club is working with relief agencies on the ground in Panama City, who are assisting both residents and the families from the Air Force Base.

Cash donations may be made online at the Mira Mesa Lions Club website, www.MiraMesaLions.org. Cash donations along with donated gift cards may be mailed to the Mira Mesa Lions Club, P. O. Box 261592, San Diego, CA 92196. Gift cards should be for “big box” stores (Home Depot, Walmart, etc.) as those are the only stores in the area that have reopened.

For questions regarding the fundraiser, or the Bruski “Pint Night,” please contact the Mira Mesa Lions Club at info@MiraMesaLions.org or 858-342-2033.
